Slider visits MetroHealth

April 17, 2019

On behalf of the Department of Pediatrics and Child Life and Education at MetroHealth, we would like to thank you for your generosity in helping Slider come visit the pediatric patients.

It was a true highlight of our year to help cheer on our home team for their home opener. Slider brought so many smiles and cheer to our hospital units. Not only were patients and families smiling ear to ear, but so were our staff hard at work.

There was an overwhelming sense of joy in the halls of MetroHealth that day and we can’t thank you enough for making that happen.

We appreciate all that you do for our patients and families year after year. We couldn’t do it without you!

Sincerely,

Jessica Chupnik, MS, CLSS

MetroHealthHoliday thanks from MetroHealth

January 14, 2019

On behalf of the Department of Pediatrics and Child Life and Education at MetroHealth, we would like to thank you for your generosity in 2018 and always.

We continue to be overwhelmed by your kindness year after year. We truly appreciate the stocking stuffers and stockings for patients on our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Burn Intensive Care Unit and the pediatric medical surgical floor.

The cookies were delicious and adorable as well. Seeing families receive their gifts for the Adopt-a-Family program will forever be engrained in our hearts. The extreme appreciation and relief felt by families was intense. You made such a difference in the lives of 17 families and all the children in the hospital over the holidays.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for your continued support. your thoughtfulness truly makes a difference. We cannot thank you enough for that. Wishing you a wonderful New Year.

Sincerely,

Jessica Chupnik, MS,
CLSS Manager, Child Life and Education

Annual Rainbow Sickle Cell Community Day 2018

We had another successful Sickle Cell Community Day with over 160 in attendance!

We provided lunch, had fun activities and community agencies to share information about their services with the parents. We also gave out 124 backpacks for preschool to 12th graders filled with school supplies!

It was a day of smiles and laughter by all. The Rainbow Sickle Cell Team wants to sincerely thank the Leprechauns for their generous donation to once again make this day a reality.
