We Get Thanks

Just some of the “Thank You” correspondence we receive

Over the years, the Leprechauns have received many letters and cards of thanks and gratitude from children, families and hospital staff—here are just a few, starting with the most recent.

MetroHealthHoliday thanks from MetroHealth

January 20, 2020

On behalf of the Department of Pediatrics at MetroHealth, we would like to thank you for your very generous donation of toys, board games, crafts, dolls, pillows and more during the holiday season to the Child Life and Education program.

Patients and families loved the stockings and stocking stuffers that they found when they woke up Christmas morning. Additionally, we are incredibly grateful for your team adopting 17 families for the holidays—making their season so much brighter. We are beyond touched by your continued thoughtfulness.

Your gifts made such a difference in the lives of pediatric patients and their families throughout MetroHealth, providing comfort, play, familiarization and so much more during such a scary time in their lives.

We cannot thank you enough for the amazing support you have given to the patients and families. We are looking forward to working together in the future and we wish you all the best in the new year ahead!

Sincerely,

Jessica Chupnik, MS, CCLS
Manager, Child Life and Education

Annual Rainbow Sickle Cell Community Day 2019

The Sickle Cell Center at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital had its annual Sickle Cell Community Day hosting over 150 patients and family members for a day of fun.

With funding from the Leprechaun Foundation, we were able to provide a day filled with fun activities, lunch, and information from community agencies. This event focuses on back to school resources so every child leaves the event with a new backpack filled with school supplies too!

We are appreciative of the support the Leprechaun Foundation provides us throughout the year.

Slider visits MetroHealth

April 17, 2019

On behalf of the Department of Pediatrics and Child Life and Education at MetroHealth, we would like to thank you for your generosity in helping Slider come visit the pediatric patients.

It was a true highlight of our year to help cheer on our home team for their home opener. Slider brought so many smiles and cheer to our hospital units. Not only were patients and families smiling ear to ear, but so were our staff hard at work.

There was an overwhelming sense of joy in the halls of MetroHealth that day and we can’t thank you enough for making that happen.

We appreciate all that you do for our patients and families year after year. We couldn’t do it without you!

Sincerely,

Jessica Chupnik, MS, CLSS
