Leprechaun Fair

Assumption Academy’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day event raises $5,670 in 2022

Once again, the Assumption Academy 8th graders worked hard behind the scenes to prepare carnival-like games for The Leprechaun Fair. This year $5,670 was raised by the fair to continue helping terminally and chronically ill children.

All the students have an opportunity to partake in the games, raffles, and concessions available at the fair—all to help raise money for the Leprechaun Foundation. Parent volunteers, past and present, come as well to assist in keeping things running smoothly. The Leprechaun Fair is one of the students’ favorite days of the school year and looks like an explosion of green festivities on that day.

The Leprechaun Foundation is donating the total fair proceeds to MetroHealth Medical Center to help in building a rooftop playhouse on their new hospital building.

For the past 30 years Assumption Academy students have raised over $45,000 since their first fundraiser that raised $600. That’s a lot of money from the efforts of kids with the support of the school and families.

We are so very proud of all the Assumption Academy faculty, students, and their generous families for once again making this wonderful tradition such a huge success.
